The start of a wonderful Journey

Thursday, February 25th, 2010

Everything I have done to this date has been preparing me for what comes next and I hope you’ll travel this road with me.

Over the coming weeks, I’d like to share with you my concept of performance and how we can get the best out of ourselves and others. We’ll be looking into the philosophies, methodologies, tools and techniques that have proven to be key to personal and professional success. Drawing on material from a range of sources: mainstream psychology, sports psychology, NLP, Transactional Analysis (TA) and positive psychology, we will develop some of the ideas within titles such as ‘Knowing Yourself’, ‘That Feel Good Factor’ and ‘The Devil on Our Shoulder’. Also the performance principles of Confidence, Self Esteem, Attitude, Decisiveness, Responsibility, Persistence and of course, Goals & Goal Setting.

So why read this blog rather than another? Well, it might seem a little blasé to say that some of the stuff we will explore will significantly affect your life, but I believe this to be true.

I have spent my whole professional life in high performance roles that have demanded some (if not a total) focus on the development of individuals and teams. Within the last few years, I have also been privileged to be involved in organisational development and it’s a source of deep personal pride I can say that I have ‘made a difference’ to thousands of people over the years.

As a Performance Development Consultant I am constantly learning. We should all be reading, watching and listening to a host of materials from eclectic sources.

Let this site be one of yours.

See you soon,

Andy
